Payment may be made by cash, cheque, or interact. Payment may now be made at either a Credit Union or Bank. Please allow at least 2 business days for payment to reach our office.

Property taxes will be mailed out at the end of May or beginning of June.  If you have not received your tax notice by June 15th, please contact the Village Office. The due date payment is July 31st 2009 at 4:30 pm .  A 10% penalty charge will be added to current rates remaining unpaid after the 31st day of July 2009.  Interest on arrears and delinquent taxes is calculated from the 1st day of January 2009 at a rate set by the Provincial Government.    Property taxes are calculated on the current BC Assessment rates.  For more information on BC Assessment, please visit their website.

Provincial Home Owner Grant

Residential property owners, who occupy their homes as a principal residence, may be entitled to a Home Owner's Grant of up to $570 for applicants under 65 years of age, and up to $845 for those over age 65 or those that meet certain other criteria.

Homeowner grant forms are attached annually to your tax notice. If you are eligible, please fill out and sign the grant application, and turn it in to the Village Office. This application must be completed each and every year that you are eligible.

To avoid a 10% penalty, the application must be received in our office prior to 4:30 p.m. July 31, 2009.  The final application date is December 31, 2009.

Pre-Payment of Property Taxes & Utilities

At this time pre-payment of your property taxes is available only by interact or by leaving post dated cheques at the Village Office.
