Payment may be made by cash, cheque, or interac. Payment may now be made at either a Credit Union or Bank. Please allow at least 2 business days for payment to reach our office.

Property taxes will be mailed out at the end of May or beginning of June. If you have not received your tax notice by June 15th, please contact the Village Office. The due date payment is August 2, 2011 at 4:30 pm . A 10% penalty charge will be added to current rates remaining unpaid after the 2nd of August, 2011. Interest on arrears and delinquent taxes is calculated from the 1st day of January 2011 at a rate set by the Provincial Government. Property taxes are calculated on the current BC Assessment rates. Provincial Home Owner Grant
Residential property owners, who occupy their homes as a principal residence, may be entitled to a Home Owner's Grant of up to $570 for applicants under 65 years of age, and up to $845 for those over age 65 or those that meet certain other criteria.
Homeowner grant forms are attached annually to your tax notice. If you are eligible, please fill out and sign the grant application, and turn it in to the Village Office. This application must be completed each and every year that you are eligible.
To avoid a 10% penalty, the application must be received in our office prior to 4:30 p.m. August 2, 2011. The final application date is December 31, 2011.

Pre-Payment of Property Taxes & Utilities
We are now offering a pre-authorized debit plan for payment of your property taxes. Please complete the enrolment form and return it to the Village Office if you are interested in this plan.
Please note: The pre-payment plan is effective for the 2012 tax year. The Village collects 10 instalments for (10) months. The first payment will be collected on August 15, 2011 and the last on May 15, 2012. Pre-payments, together with an interest adjustment, are credited against the amount due on the Property Tax invoice.
