Accessibility

Do you want to help make the Village of Harrison Hot Springs more accessible?

We are currently accepting applications for our newly established Accessibility Committee in accordance with the Accessible B.C. Act. If you have a disability, or represent a disability-serving organization we would encourage you to apply. The Accessible B.C. Act states that at least one of the members should be an Indigenous person and the committee should reflect the diversity of persons in British Columbia. Click here for the Committee Application Form.

Committee members will assist staff and Council in helping to identify barriers in the community for persons with disabilities.

While we wait for community applications, the Village has created an initial Accessibility Committee consisting of staff members. The committee will be reviewing the initial DRAFT accessibility plan and developing ways for the community to provide feedback on accessibility barriers.  Once the accessibility plan has been finalized by the committee, it will be shared with Mayor & Council and then posted publicly here.

Community feedback will be an essential part in the Village’s plan to become more accessible. If you have ideas or issues that you would like to bring forward to the committee, please submit these using the accessibility feedback form.
