Property Tax Deadline

The deadline to pay your property tax is July 4th, 2022. When a due date falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, payment will be accepted the following business day without penalty.  Property tax notices are generally mailed out in May of each year.

Please note: We recommend payments of property taxes be made online, sent by mail, or dropped through our mail slot. The Village does not accept credit cards as a method of payment.

Home Owner Grant

Important Information 

Effective January 1, 2021, The Province will be entirely responsible for the home owner grant program for the 2021 tax year forward. All home owners must apply directly to the Province online or over the phone at:

Utilities

Residential property owners pay annual utility fees. Annual utility bill charges include garbage collection fees, sewer user fees, sewer service fees, water user fees and water service fees which are applicable to each individual property. Commercial Property Owners pay quarterly utility fees.

The residential utility bill is billed annually and will be calculated at the end of July for January 1 – December 31. Due date for the bill will be September 15 of each year. When a due date falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, payment will be accepted the following business day without penalty.

Utilities Payment Options

A 10% penalty will be applied to any unpaid balance on the fees and charges outstanding by the due date. Any fees and charges remaining unpaid by the end of the calendar year shall be deemed to be taxes in arrears.

Note: This is a reminder to notify the Village Office immediately of any mailing address/contact information changes to avoid any delay in delivery of Utility Billing Notices.
