Learn about our synthetic ice - Xtraice.
The rink will be open until February 20th. After this date, it will be disassembled and stored for the summer so that the area can be reopened for boat launch parking.
The synthetic ice is unaffected by rain. In fact, the water slightly improves the skating experience. These synthetic rinks are designed to be used in any weather and outdoor condition.
There is no need to worry. Light, surface-level scratches always appear after skating on the surface and will not negatively affect functionality or appearance. Xtraice uses a very high-density material that is not damaged from skating.
No, the rink is available on a "first come, first served" basis. It is open for use by the public, free of charge, if you have your own skates. See above for skate rental information and concession hours.
