A Public Hearing was held regarding Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1225, 2025, which proposes to change the current zoning of the property located at 285 Spruce Street from R-2 (Duplex) to R-3 (Small Lot).

Mayor Talen was appointed as a Council liaison on the Agassiz-Harrison Community Services Board of Directors.

Council approved the Age-Friendly Committee’s Terms of Reference.

A report by the Village’s Planning Consultant was presented to amend the conditions of the adoption of Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1193, 2023 for the development at 511 Lillooet Avenue. This amendment removes the subject requiring the installation of a zebra crosswalk across Lillooet Avenue, and replaces it with a crosswalk across Spruce Street.

Updates are coming to the Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaws to incorporate the Interim Housing Needs Report and the FVRD’s Regional Growth Strategy goals. Council adopted a consultation plan, which will include an Open House, referral letters and stakeholder meetings. New Business: Staff will be reviewing non-smoking signage in public spaces regarding smoking, including tobacco, cannabis, electronic cigarette, cigar, cigarillo, or any substance that replicates a smoking experience in any building, structure, park or public space as referenced in Park Regulation Bylaw No. 1150, 2020.
