Harrison Community Garden
Planting seeds of kindness since 2010
The Harrison Community Garden, managed by the volunteer-led Harrison Community Gardens Society, provides residents with space to grow their own produce, learn gardening skills, and connect with others. By offering opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, it supports local food sustainability while fostering an age-friendly community where everyone can participate and contribute.
The garden is located at the corner of Chestnut Avenue and McCombs Drive. For more information on the community garden and plot availability, please contact: [email protected]
Intergenerational Art Project
An intergenerational art project, led by the Village’s Age-Friendly Committee in collaboration with local elementary students, now brightens the fence line at the Community Garden. Featuring hand-painted wooden pieces, the display celebrates creativity across generations and adds a welcoming, vibrant touch to the garden space.
