Our Utilities team have been working around the clock and have identified some areas where stormwater was entering the sanitary sewer system. While some of these issues were able to be mitigated, we are still seeing a heavy volume of stormwater entering the system through private property connections. This has caused increased volumes at the lift stations and wastewater treatment plant.

Other steps that everyone can take to support the Village's Utilities Team as they continue to closely monitor the systems include limiting non-essential activities that contribute to the sanitary sewer system (Laundry, Dishwashing, Showers)
