Playboxes in Harrison Hot Springs
The Village of Harrison Hot Springs is proud to be part of the Live 5-2-1-0 Play initiative—supporting healthy, active living for residents and visitors of all ages.
What are Playboxes?
Playboxes are bright green and blue storage boxes located along the beachfront, filled with free access to sports and play equipment that anyone can use.
Inside, you may find items like:
- Balls (soccer, basketball, volleyball)
- Lawn games
- Skipping ropes
- Other recreational equipment
These shared resources are designed to make it easy for everyone to get active, connect with others, and enjoy our beautiful outdoor spaces.
Who are they for?
Playboxes are for everyone. This initiative supports our Age-Friendly community goals by encouraging people of all ages and abilities to stay active, socialize, and have fun together. Whether you're a child, youth, adult, or older adult—there’s something for you.
How does it work?
Using a Playbox is simple:
- Open the box and choose your equipment
- Enjoy your time playing and being active
- Return the items when you’re finished so others can use them
We kindly ask all users to respect the equipment and help keep the Playboxes clean and accessible for everyone.
