- The delegation from Royal Canadian Legion Sergeant at Arms Dave Eidet was removed from the agenda and will be rescheduled for a future meeting.
- Council received the Civic Campus Update report for information. The Village will prepare a report to Council for a future meeting that includes costs/funding models to engage consultants to perform a danger tree assessment, to evaluate the health and safety of existing vegetation within the area, an ecological/environmental assessment to provide valuable baseline data regarding site conditions, habitat value, and potential constraints for the proposed site.
- The Village will not be forwarding the revised Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to School District No. 78.
- The Village will be moving forward with a feasibility study of the Hot Springs Source, with an expenditure of up to $250,000, to identify requirements for a future project supporting public access to hot springs mineral water, of which $50,000 will be funded by the Community Works Fund, and the remaining $200,000 will be funded by grants. A Request for Proposals will also be issued to define the scope, methodology, and costs to undertake a feasibility study of the hot springs source.

- Anti-Racial Discrimination and Anti-Racism Policy 1.42 was adopted. This policy is intended to demonstrate the Village’s commitment to conducting day-to-day operations and governance in an anti-discriminatory manner and environment.
- A temporary off-leash dog park will return to Spring Park for the peak summer season from the end of June 2026 to the end of September 2026, between the two sports courts. This trial period will serve to gauge further community feedback as it relates to usage and compatibility between all users groups at Spring Park – stay tuned for more information on an opening date!
Community Happenings
- The Communities in Bloom Committee’s annual Garden of the Week contest is back! Over the next 12 weeks, CiB Committee members will be awarding the best gardens throughout the community on a variety of themes including small spaces, creative, native species, pollinator-friendly, business, edible, FireSmart, water-wise, and more! Be on the lookout for committee members and keep those gardens blooming!
- The Communities in Bloom Garden Tour returns on July 25th from 10am – 2pm! This special event features the CiB committee hosting a community wide tour of the best and most unique gardens around town. Do you have a beautiful garden you’d like to share with the community? Residents interested in showcasing their garden as a tour stop are encouraged to learn more and sign up through the form here.
- The next Community Connections Café at the Village Health Centre returns on Friday, June 19th from 9am – 1pm with a summer kick-off theme! Enjoy coffee and conversation, check out the little free library, and learn about the upcoming events and happenings in Harrison Hot Springs this summer!
