  • The Audit Findings Report for the year ended December 31, 2025 was presented by BDO Canada and the 2025 Financial Statements of the Village were approved by Council. 

  • Council adopted the Building Belonging I.D.E.A. Framework and Action Plan. Staff will report back to Council soon on the recommended actions and steps taken to date.  

  • Council approved the expenditure of $30,000 in capital equipment for the Fire Department, to be funded by the approved UBCM CEPF: 2025 Volunteer and Composite Fire Departments Equipment and Training grant. 

  • A Development Variance Permit and a Development Permit will be issued to Woodside Smart Storage Ltd Inc BC1114734 for the property located at 889 Hot Springs Road.  

  • Tax Rate Bylaw No. 1238, 2026 was given first three readings. 

  • Staff will draft a Civic Recognition Policy that outlines eligibility criteria, a nomination process, selection method, and process by which public spaces may be named after an individual, for Council’s consideration. 

  • Council did not pass a motion directing staff to engage multiple agencies on several community forest topics. Council will consider requesting a meeting with the Minister of Forests at the 2026 UBCM Conference.  

  • Staff will be reviewing the current Public Art Policy (Policy 1.37) and will provide observations related to its alignment with community and artists’ interests. Staff will also report on possible approaches for the consideration of art opportunities, including the potential role of an advisory panel.

  • It’s National Volunteer Week! Thank you to the residents who give their time, energy, and heart to support our community. Your contributions, big and small, help make this a more connected, caring place for everyone. 

  • The Mobile ServiceBC Pop Up Event is happening on Tuesday, April 21 along Maple Street (outside of Memorial Hall), from 10:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 3:00pm. Residents can access a wide range of government and ICBC services in person - don't miss this convenient opportunity to take care of your important documents all in one stop! Drop-in, no registration required. 

  • Community Connections Café: Starting April 24, 2026, Join us every second Friday from 9:00am – 1:00pm at the Village Health Centre (102-160 Lillooet Ave). Drop by and enjoy free coffee, conversation, and access to local resources - no registration required. Browse our lending library (take a book, leave a book), pick up your copy of “The Community Brew”, and on April 24, welcome in spring by creating your own spring bouquet—available while supplies last.  

  • Earth Day in May returns on Saturday May 2, 2026 from 9:00am – 12:00pm at Memorial Hall! Join us for a morning of community, sustainability, and interactive workshops. Learn more about the event and check out the list of vendors here
