Council, staff, friends and family were pleased to gather earlier today to witness MP Brad Vis bestow the King Charles III's Coronation Medal upon Councillor Leo Facio.
This Medal is one of 30,000 being awarded to Canadians who have made significant contributions to their community.
Councillor Facio was recognized for his many years of service to the Village of Harrison Hot Springs as both a dedicated community member and an elected official. His career on Council began with his first election as Councillor in 1993. Since that time, he has served six terms as Councillor and four terms as Mayor.
During his over 30 year tenure as an elected official in Harrison Hot Springs, Councillor Facio has demonstrated extraordinary dedication to building positive relationships that strengthen our community. His hard work, leadership and commitment have seen many infrastructure and tourism projects come to fruition during his time on Council. We are proud to honour his incredible service to the community. Congratulations Councillor Facio!
