Rainfall Warning Update - March 19, 2026

𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 - 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗖𝗛 𝟭𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲:

 

The Province has upgraded current conditions to an Orange Rain Warning and a Flood Watch.

The final portion of this weather system is expected over the next 24 hours, with the heaviest rainfall anticipated from midnight tonight through noon tomorrow.

 

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁:
• Continued heavy rain through tomorrow afternoon
• Peak rainfall overnight into midday tomorrow
• Gusty (up to 70km) winds expected following the precipitation event
• Saturated ground conditions increasing risk of instability
 

𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘀:
• Elevated risk of localized flooding and pooling water on roadways
• Fast-moving waterways that are unpredictable and dangerous
• Increased risk of landslides due to prolonged saturation
