Council Meeting Highlights - June 1, 2026

Council Catch-Up
June 2, 2026
  • A public hearing was held regarding Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1244, 2026 for the property located at 889 Hot Springs Road. Public submissions and comments were received. Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 1244, 2026 will be brought forward for Council’s consideration at a future regular council meeting.

  • Council received a delegation from a resident regarding the proposed Civic Campus concept and highlighting concerns surrounding the preservation of trees in the area and the public engagement conducted to date.

The Village thanks everyone who has shared their thoughts, feedback, and concerns regarding the proposed Civic Campus concept thus far. Community input is an important part of the process and will help inform future discussions.

The conceptual site layout presented during Phase 1 engagement represents one potential option developed collaboratively with School District 78. Community feedback will help inform future conversations regarding site layout considerations and the overall project concept.

All feedback received by June 10, 2026, will form part of the public record and be presented to Council, along with a "What We Heard" report, at the June 15, 2026 Regular Council Meeting. Feedback will be shared with School District 78 before any Memorandum of Understanding is finalized and before future phases are considered.
